ABOUT ME

Leigh Alexander Sawyer, MS, Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM) L.Ac.

I am a licensed acupuncturist specializing in the Classical Five Element style of Acupuncture. I graduated with a Master’s degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, and also completed a two-year Advanced Study Program of Classical Five Element Acupuncture. For over ten years I've continued to participate in Five Element Acupuncture Training with Khosrow Khalighi and Shirley Nichols, foremost Classical Five Element practitioners and instructors in San Francisco. I'm licensed with the California, Georgia and National Boards to practice acupuncture and oriental medicine.

I love the Five Element style of acupuncture and I find practicing it to be extremely energizing. I hope never to retire and I relish the thought that this is something I can do for the rest of my life. To be able to partner with my patients on their path toward true and lasting health and vitality gives me great satisfaction and joy.

I’m a Certified Massage Therapist having completed over 650 hours of Shiatsu Massage training.

I’m an avid and passionate equestrian, and own a Paint horse named Rico who I compete in Dressage and Eventing. My husband Hugh and I have four dogs including my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lucy. All of the animal members of my family receive great benefits from regular acupuncture treatments.
